He didn’t tell me in so many words, but I can sense that Faizan is one of those types who gets along with everyone. His friends and colleagues were super-keen to contribute to his employee spotlight blog—a sure sign that Faizan is a likable fellow.
Only those who hold him in high regard would step up to the plate like that. Comments from a close colleague included, “He’s got a deep reservoir of knowledge and he’s a whiz at data reporting. He’s always there to help his colleagues figure out complex problems. And he’s a great conversationalist!”
Faizan graciously shares how he got started at Solutions 8.
It All Started Here
Like so many specialists, Faizan’s intimate knowledge of paid search strategies allowed him to develop and grow at Solutions 8. Initially working behind the scenes, he made sure his strategies aligned with clients’ business goals. As he got to know the realities of his clients’ businesses this personal approach led him to work as a Growth Manager, too.
Understanding numbers and KPIs while simultaneously ensuring that PPCs with Google Ads and Meta Ads match is a vital part of his job. This intrepid young man has kept up to date with the changing trends of the volatile world of digital marketing.
“Faizan is extremely well-versed in all things Google Ads, which is impressive. What stands out to me even more than his skillset and knowledge base though, is his willingness to help his teammates in any way that he can. He is a team player to the max, which is priceless in any work environment,” says Solutions 8 Client Manager, Daniella Fisher.
A typical work day begins at 8 a.m. and nothing starts the day off better than a cup of coffee. During his first two or three hours of the day, Faizan is usually free to analyze performance metrics for clients and review various reports. His afternoons are mainly dedicated to meetings.
The Pleasures Of The Job
Since it’s a remote-working job, you’ll find our specialist in his home office. Over the last two years though, he’s had the immense pleasure of working from a classroom, a coffee shop, by the beach, and high up in the mountains.
I wonder if one of those gorgeous views was from the Hunza Valley in Northern Pakistan, Faizan’s favorite place that he has lately visited?
The job also allows for many advantages such as spending weekends at steak bars, the cinema, and coffee shops. And when Faizan is not in the office, you’ll find him sleeping, trying new dishes, and watching movies!
Are there any skills that he would like to have learned?
“Drumming Drumming Drumming! I have been wanting to learn that for a long time, but never found the time,” says Faizan. A rock band! Maybe you’d call your group Solutions 8?
The Pros And Cons (But Mostly Pros!)
There is one part of Faizan’s job that he admits is difficult to like and that is dealing with challenging clients. But ever the professional, he is patient and kind, which is a quality he’d like to see more of in the world.
He also knows that learning and relearning stuff in the advertising field is just par for the course. The principles stay the same, but the day-to-day platform strategies and trends keep you on your toes. A good specialist knows this and tends to roll with the punches. That’s exactly what Faizan does.
We’re not sure we’d like to see him leave Solutions 8 but he does have a dream in the pipeline, and as all of us dreamers know, every dream is filled with potential and possibility!
“I aspire to be an entrepreneur and I am working my way towards it. Also, becoming a part-time Red Bull athlete would be super, super cool!”
Charity Begins At Home
Having access to quality education made a huge impact on Faizan’s life. So much so that if he could, he would start a charity to deliver quality education to underprivileged communities in his country and around the world.
“I have a strong admiration for Sal Khan, founder of Khan Academy.”
And where is home you might be asking yourself?
Faizan is originally from the bustling city of Lahore in Pakistan where he still lives today.
We also admire his fantastic taste in books. And what would he have us read?
“The One Thing” by Gary Keller, which he has just finished reading, and “Man’s Search For Meaning”, by Viktor Frankl, which the author wrote in 1946 after his internment in a Nazi concentration camp. We see he is not a frivolous reader.
If Faizan were to give a single sentence to his life story, it would be: Wait for the book to come out! Sounds about right—this is a man who keeps the excitement and curiosity for newness at the forefront of his life. But we’d like to end this blog with the words of Faizan’s favorite in-house cohort.
“Faizan, my colleague from Pakistan, has been more than just a work buddy—he’s a great friend. We share a strong bond, but I love to pull his leg every chance I get (classic India vs. Pakistan banter, right?)” says Mehdi Abbas.
