Solutions 8 Account Manager Tressy Dsouza Calls This the “Best Job Ever”
And most of us here would agree that it’s a pretty sweet gig.
Tressy joined the Solutions 8 family in 2021 thanks to her friend and colleague Susmita. She started out as a backup Specialist before being promoted to Google Ads Specialist and later to Senior Specialist. Most recently, Tressy advanced to the role of Account Manager—a position that combines Google Ads expertise, specialist skills, and superb client communication skills.
Or, as Tressy puts it, “My job is to meet with clients and help them grow their business through Google Ads. I manage their Google Ads accounts to make sure they are meeting their business goals.”
More than one "best part" about the job
Tressy calls this the best job ever because it’s not just one thing that makes it enjoyable.
For starters, she has the pleasure of working with “some awesome people” who are spread across the globe. And many of those folks are the reason Tressy is so good at her job today. Take John Moran, for example.
“Even with a prior experience of three years, I never really understood Google Ads like Solutions 8 understands Google Ads,” Tressy shared. “All thanks to the brilliant mind of John Moran. It is an honor to be working and learning with him. He knows and works on Google Ads like no one I’ve ever known.” (It’s true; John is a bit of a Google Ads savant… but with dad jokes to boot.)
Tressy also loves that her job is remote, because otherwise she would spend hours each day commuting—and nobody wants to do that. In fact, she says one thing she will never do again is join a company where she has to travel to work. Agreed!
It may come as a surprise to learn that Google Ads has been Tressy’s first and only job, and even before Solutions 8 she was helping businesses find success with Google’s paid advertising platform. So when I asked what else she’d be doing if she wasn’t a Solutions 8 Account Manager, she said she has absolutely no idea.
“I have never been much of a planner. All throughout college I stressed myself with the notion that I had to figure out what I wanted to do in life or I wouldn’t be successful. Thankfully, that is not how reality was for me.”
Definitely try the street food
Tressy currently lives in Mumbai, India with her husband of two years, who she says inspires her to get out of her comfort zone and try things she would never do… like sky diving! Which she hasn’t done yet, but it is definitely something she would like to try.
She says Mumbai is famous for the mouthwatering street food. “There is something delightful to satisfy every taste bud,” Tressy told me, but her favorite is pav bhaji—which Wikipedia says is a “thick vegetable curry served with a soft bread roll.” YUM. My mouth is definitely watering.
Incidentally, there must also be burgers in Mumbai, because she says it’s the one thing that can instantly make her day better.
Travel and time away from work
Tressy says her favorite way to spend a day off is to hop in the car and drive to a random destination with her husband. She says the most beautiful place she has ever visited is Sikkim, India, but she really wants to go to the snowy mountains of Switzerland.
So if she won the lottery? She’d definitely be Switzerland bound… but the rest of the money she would invest. That seems like a perfect balance!
